Username and Password Help:
When logging in to Desire2Learn, you will use your Net ID as yourl username or the D2L ID which is usually your firstname.lastname and a password you create by going to http://password.montana.edu.
If you are unsure of what your Net ID is, you can find it through the secure area of Banner Web by clicking on Personal Information and then on View IDs. You may also use your D2L ID as your Username for logging into D2L.
Go to the MSU - Great Falls campus homepage: www.msugf.edu. Click on the Students link in the upper left-hand corner. Click on Banner Web - My Info.
Click on Enter Secure Area and enter either your social security number or your Banner ID number in the User ID area. Next enter your PIN which is usually your six-digit birthdate until you change it. If you cannot remember your PIN click on the Forgot PIN? link to view a security question. By answering this question correctly, you will be able to reset your PIN yourself. If you cannot remember your security question, Admissions will be able to reset your PIN for you. Log in by selecting the Login button.
Select the Personal Information link. Here you can change your PIN, change your security question, view the address and phone number the college has on file, your email address, directory profile, emergency contacts, your WebCT ID (which is your Banner ID without the hyphen), and your Desire2Learn ID.
The Desire2Learn ID is your username for logging into D2L. Usually it is your firstname.lastname. It is important that you type in your username exactly like it appears.
Remember: Your Desire2Learn username and password is the same as your MyMSU Portal username and password.
If you get the message Authentication Failed or you would like to speak with a real person, call the campus Help Desk!
